I
am a member of the MIS faculty in the Michael
F. Price College of Business at the University
of Oklahoma. I have a
Ph.D. (in information systems and international business) from Indiana
University and an MBA from the University
of Georgia. Prior to
joining the Price College, I held tenured faculty appointments at Indiana
University and the University of Hawaii. I've
also worked as a business consultant and lectured in several countries,
including Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore and the United
States.
Highlights of my
professional life at OU:

Fall 2005:
Appointed Director of the
MIS Division -- During my
tenure, the MIS program has been ranked in the Top 20 programs
in the nation by US News & World Report for four years
(till now)

Spring 2004: Received the Bruce Magoon
Master Teacher Award

Spring 2003: Received the Bruce Magoon Award for Service
Excellence

Summer 2002: Appointed the W. P. Wood Professor of MIS

Fall 2001:
Appointed Executive Director of the Center for MIS Studies (CMISS), a partnership
between businesses and academia

Spring 2001: Joined the MIS faculty at OU
Recent editorial roles:
Research highlights:
-
My
primary area of research deals with the behavior and performance of
virtual teams. My work in this area includes examination
of group development, media choice, trust, leadership and
coordination.

My
research publications have appeared in such journals as MIS
Quarterly, Information Systems Research, the Journal of MIS,
and Group Decision and Negotiation.

I have also co-edited a book,
Our
Virtual World, that focuses on the transformation of work,
play and life with digital media.
